Durga Ammaa |
|
|
The sixteenth deity that we worship is Nav Durga Ammaa (Another form of Mother Parvatie).
She is the consort of Lord Shiva. Her most popular time of worship
during the year is during Nav Ratri which happens twice a year. During
this time she is worshipped for nine nights in her nine shakti forms.
We
keep making offerings of flowers, fruits, and perfume, reaching out to
our great warrior goddess. Durga Ammaa, mounted on her tiger, may your
divine weapons bring us victory and radiance over selfishness,
jealousy, hatred, anger, misery, and ego.
