The ninth deity that we worship is Ganga Ammaa (the river mother).
When we worship this divine devi, we ask of her to purify our minds,
bodies and souls of all sins committed. We also beg of the divine
mother that, just like how her waters washes onto the river banks and
carries away all impurities, may she also come and wash away all
problems, sickness, diseases and all other negative aspects from our
lives.
We
come to the shores of our water mother, Ganga Maa, swift and mighty
daughter of the Himalaya, as holy Ganges, you flow from Lord Shiva's
crown to purify us.
O Mother please bless us with children.
